Johnny Jetson
My new (to me) K1200GT came with P2s, near-new on the rear, 25% left on the front. Time to replace the front and I'd like to go on to a P3. If something happened to the rear I'd already have the correct front in place, but I do expect it to run another 7-10K miles before replacement. Anyone know of any problem with this? I've had 3 sets of P2s, and always been happy, but I keep hearing how much better the P3s are so I'm expecting to change over next time (Unless the P4s start getting rave reviews, of course). Selden
As long as they are both radials, it shouldn't matter much one way or the other. Me, I ride tires until they are pretty much wornout, then (if I'm lucky) I replace as a set; otherwise, whichever one wears out first, something that isn't always predictable. Link to comment
Lmar
When I switched to PR 3's I rode with a PR 2 in front and a PR 3 in the rear for 8,000 km. They worked fine. Link to comment
