Garmin 2730 - FM transmitter for XM Radio

I purchased the 2730 to use on my bike as well as in my car. Has anyone tried to use their 2730 in their car utilizing the internal FM transmitter to broadcast XM over the car's radio? I have tried every frequency and have been unable to obtain a clear, static-free signal.

I use the wireless transmitter in my Semi and have found in a major Metro area, Chicago, Philly etc it is extremely hard to find a clear channel. What I ended up doing is running a line from the speaker out plug to the aux in on the back of the radio, and presto, static free music!!
