Missouri Bob
My R1200GS has "factory" lowered suspension, and I want to bring it down another inch or so. My buddy's R1200R has its motor about an inch lower than the motor on my bike. I prefer the way that his bike feels, and would like to lower mine to the same level. I don't think I would drag the valve covers because my buddy has not dragged his. Are aftermarket shocks available in shorter length Thanks, Bob Link to comment
Guest Kakugo
You can get both lowered aftermarket shocks (from Wilbers) and a further lowered seat by Touratech. Your choice. However I am not 100% sure lowered shocks can be fit to a factory lowered GS... Link to comment

FLrider
Don't know if ESA is available on the GS but if it is, you may lose it if you add Wilbers. a _____ is a ______ of course, of course and no one can talk to a _________ or course..... Link to comment
tallman
Not on the lowered bikes, I think, that was the way it was, I think. Link to comment
TyTass
Wilburs does ESA called WESA. Last year I put WESA shocks from Hemann, who built them 5mm shorter (now stock GS length), and a Touratech lowered seat on my '11 GSA. Now I can flatfoot my GSA and love the lowered center of gravity. But after about 6-7 hours of sport touring in the seat in the heat, I'm not loving the monkey butt. Link to comment

Bullett
Is there enough foam on the seat to shave some off? I'd do that before further lowering the suspension. Link to comment
