Matts_12GS
It's a steal for $3500-4000 though. Link to comment
eddd
It often seems that people have done zero work in the way of trying to find out a realistic asking price. When I was searching for my EX650 there was a lady in Colorado who had bought one for her husband (who really wanted a cruiser). She was asking $10,000 for a used 2013 bike at the same time a new 2014 could be picked up at any dealer for $7400. Link to comment
szurszewski
It's a steal for $3500-4000 though. He said it comes with a lot of extras - maybe one of the extras is a second, matching, bike; then the price would be quite reasonable. Also, as a slight hijack - he says it has a 7.2 gallon tank; do I really have (I have the same bike, essentially) that many gallons? I think of it as being six point something... josh Link to comment

Glenn Reed
I thought the 1100s were 7.1? The BMW specs for the R1100RT list a fuel capacity of 26 liters. Google calculates that this is the equivalent of 6.86847 gallons. Edited July 8, 2014 by Glenn Reed Link to comment

Tim, Well I certainly don't have the years of experience that you do with the marque, so I would certainly defer to your well earned knowledge. I was just going off the spec sheet, and we know those have a tendency to stretch the truth. Shawn, Weren't you the one stressing the difference between 900 miles and 911 miles when you shredded that Conti at START? Link to comment
