rabble_rowzer
Has anyone had any experience using a Larin style lift, a small square lift about 18" square with two parallel rubber pads designed to lift bikes with a frame, on an oilhead? Is there some sort of cradle I can build or buy to safely lift my RT without putting any undue stress on the cylinders or oil pan? Any advice would be useful or maybe some links to sites that have reasonably priced lifts for sale. Link to comment
randy
do a search on sears motorcycle lift. there have been many threads on this. Some RT riders have been able to utilize one of these lower priced lifts. However I am guessing 9 out of 10 have posted that it was frustrating, and they ended up selling the unit. YMMV Link to comment
Ken H.
As Randy mentioned they won't work as is out of the box. But also some people with the ability have been able to build adapter plates for them that basically makes the contact area smaller so it will match up to the engine block. Link to comment
