fourteenfour
CG video, but interesting to me at least http://blog.toyota.eu/2013/03/04/i-roll-i-rock-i-road/ Link to comment
upflying
I'm waiting for Apple to sue Toyota over the name i-Road. Link to comment
kmac
The you tube page said "Toyota i-Road 'Wows' crowd at Geneava Auto Show"... It "Wows" me too. Wow, why would ANYONE want that. Wow, what a waste of time. Wow, thats stupid. Wow, that is an expensive tricycle.....infinite Wows for me. There is a comercial for some motorcycle company, I forget who or what, but it says "4 wheels moves your body, 2 wheels moves your soul"...I agree with that, and I add, "3 wheels moves my bowls...the wrong direction". Guest Kakugo
Considering Toyota controls Yamaha (in the same way they control Bridgestone) I wonder why they chose to brand this as Toyota... Link to comment
WestyLancs
No too dissimilar in concept to the already available Piaggio MP3. MP3 link On the other hand the Piaggio isn't restricted to 50kph, and will seat two (can't tell properly on the video if the i-Road can), and of course being petrol engined, isn't limited in range. ltljohn
Not for me but I can see the how it would appeal to someone living in Europe with tight narrow streets and nothing but in town driving. I do like how the front wheels look like a skier in a turn. Link to comment
upflying
I don't see a big US market for this. Enclosed 3 wheeler ideas have come and gone. Americans demand coddling with luxury, AC, touch screens, 26" chrome wheels and room for child seats. 50 mi range and low speeds doesn't fit with angry American driving attitudes. And then there is the issue of collision safety. Link to comment
bmwsit
Looks like a neat idea, would like to see a real one going down the street vs computer generated though. I don't see the US buying lots of these either, but maybe these they would: http://www.eliomotors.com/ But I doubt this group will come in at the price they saying now. Link to comment

fourteenfour
Well Nissan had the Land Glider, a four wheel cross that leaned like a bike but with four wheels. I just pointed out the Toyota as it seems the future transportation choices are always in flux and it is interesting to see what they dream up Link to comment
JohnnyJ
I would like to have one of these unique fuel-efficient lightweight vehicles if: (Minimum criteria) It was legal for the freeways. Safe. Manufactured by a reputable Co. where parts and service weren't a concern. And was a babe magnet Johnny J Link to comment

It is my "nightmare" to ever have to operate a turd like that. Not picking on you Cris for posting it. Just chiming in on how I feel about the vehicle. Nothing really new in a leaning tricycle that Piaggio didn't already waste good human resources on. Link to comment

It was a local company. Link to comment
