roadstar
I just want to know if the stock shocks on a 2010 RT oil & gas or just oil. Yes i did post this also on the MOA & was shocked that i didn`t get 1 answer. (lots of lookers though) Link to comment
David R
This shock has a remote adjuster you can move. Its full of oil, no pressure if backed all the way off before dis assembly. They can be (should be) topped up while apart. Is that what you are asking? David Link to comment
mythreesons
I can't say for sure but I would certainly think that all BMW shocks are gas pressurized. The nitrogen gas is in there simply to keep the hydraulic fluid from foaming or cavitating much like a pressurized cooling system. Link to comment
David R
This was the question copied from MOA website by the same poster name. **************************************************************************** I like to know if the stock shock on the 2010 RT`s were oil & gas or just oil. What i need to do is flip the adjuster so i can install the back split seat section from an RT-P. **************************************************************************** The shock is Nitrogen/oil filled. There is no nitrogen in the preload adjuster. David Link to comment
roadstar
Thanks !! I have to flip the adjuster upside down like the RT-P is. so i`m glad i can just back it off & disconnect the hose to get what i need. Link to comment
