mneblett
I've pulled the left cylinder to address an oil weep/grunge on the forward-facing edge of the cylinder base. When I pulled the cylinder, I was surprised to see only one hollow dowel in the two front oil passages (none in the upper passage). Should there be two hollow dowels at the front of the cylinder base? Link to comment

mneblett
Thanks, Kent. I've also looked at the MaxBMW parts fiche, and it appears there should be two hollow dowels, one for each oil bore. Since I only had one, I was checking to see whether anyone else had only one -- of course, a missing dowel would provide a good reason for there to have been weeping in that area! Link to comment
