It's so great to step up to my dream bike, a 1200RT. I owned a '83 RT for several years. Recently, I have been riding a Suzuki GSX1100G. I have put a few hundred on the newer RT and I have to say I am in love! I am a big BMW fan and we drive a 5 and a X5 as well. Looking forward to forum participation! My local Mottorad dealer is Cycle Specialties in Modesto. Ride Well!

Welcome! Love Sonora, we used to ride their for breakfast at the Miner's Shack, sorry it closed down. Live in SC now, but bought my bike (and still get parts) from Cycle Specialties, good folks their.

Most beautiful area of the continental USA.

I'm sitting on my RT as I took this picture. Back then (May 2005, I attended the 49'r Rally that weekend), I only had a 3mp Sony pocket camera. Thus all the banding with the sky gradations of blue.

Anyhow, welcome to the web forum!

Hello. I know the area well. I live in Mountain Ranch area, 15 miles east of San Andreas. Beautiful riding in the summer over all of our passes. Winter I stay down around the many lakes etc. This is a great board. Know you will like it here.

Welcome. I also live in Mountain Ranch, about 2 miles from the aforementioned Jovial Henry.

This area is one of the finest in the whole State for riding. Carson; Ebbetts and Sonora Passes, Hwy 49 and Yosemite!!!!!!

Yipes!!!!!!!!!

Who could ask for more!!!

Thanks all! Love that Sonora pass pic. Been over that a few times. Love to do Sonora, Mono, Ebbitts as a route. I want to do Sonora next year on a bicycle when they open it. They allow bicycles and walkers a week before cars.

Well then, fall is almost here so let's do some Sierra riding! My Olympia air glide 3 pants just came and they are great! They also zip to my Cortech jacket which was a pleasant surprise. I also have matching Neotec helmets coming as well. Thanks for the warm welcome!
