Frame to gearbox mount broke on the RT

Hi all.

 

It's been a long time since I posted here

 

I was away for a 3k kms trip trough Croatia and the gearbox broke, where the rear frame mounts to it, on the R/H side. Just curios if it has happened to someone else too, on a RT. the r1100Gs I had prior to this also had this problem, but it was fixed by the previous owner.

 

I do have a spare gearbox from a 97 GS, waiting to be mounted to the bike. Are the internals the same or should I expect different gear ratios?
