Looking for Help in San Antonio

I'm on Lackland Air Force Base for the next few months training and I have my '96 R1100RT with me. Is there anyone in the area that would be willing to help me do a tuneup? I am also looking into installing some driving lights. I'll be doing the work, just looking for the space and tools needed (some guidance is always appreciated though). Please pm me if you're in the area and want to meet another rider. THANKS

Isn't there an auto hobby shop on base? That would give you the tools and space. In my day there were also photo and woodworking hobby shops available for Airmen.

I ain't too far and always ready to help.

 

I can do the the tuneup and I have had some practice with driving lights. I think I have every tool we will need.

 

...and best of all I have eddd's phone number (who has an 1100 RT) and last time I talked to him he wasn't going anywhere.

You can't do much better than Whip's Garage. The people are A1 and what's not to like about 5 dogs.

If you're looking for someone to ride with Google TWTEX. That's the dedicated Texas riders forum. The Houston BMW Club is having their annual meet in Schulenburg (east about 100 miles) on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of October. It's a no frills deal where you get a shirt and three or four meals for $30 or so. Come on out.

 

Oh be sure to ride the three twisted sisters while you're in the area.
