beemerman2k Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 These pictures are remarkable! I am only about a third of the way through and I am mesmerized. Come to think of it, is what it used to feel like thumbing through Life magazine.
MT Wallet Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I miss film photography. These pictures were great.
Bob Palin Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Amazing pictures. My parents lived through WW2 in England, my mother was a teenager during the bombing in London and even had a V1 rocket land in her back yard. My father never talked about the war, so many of his friends died. My mother sometimes will but it's mostly personal rather than societal, I wish she could describe the scenes and the feelings of the age but she's typically British, stiff upper lip. (My mother was as tough as nails when she was younger, she's recovering now at 83)

My Dad has a picture somewhere of his neighbor's house, well, where the house used to be!
