I was approaching scared at 110, 200 would require a change of underwear. And WAY more experience and skill than I possess to do so safely.

Way to go, Charlie.

A great accomlishment, but put in perspective :

At the recent Indy MotoGP all the top guys were 200 + at the end of the straight ... and then had to brake hard and turn left ... 28 times in a row!

Not jumping on the sour grapes bandwagon, and realizing the man's accomplishment:

This is a SCTA-BNI record only, not a world record.

FIM is the only sanctioning body for WORLD records, and they are the only International

Organization ratifying such records.

Again, I am NOT downgrading anyone's accomplishment. Just a point of info.

Impressive.

But, I'm still more impressed with the passenger (an accomplished rider) who got on the back of the K1200S when it first came out and rode along to set the 2up class record at over 176 mph (if I remember right).

Now she deserves a tip o the hat too.

and I thought 115 on my R90s at a recent Track Day was fast.

Well lookie here, this article penned by our hero rider.

This was last year at the event we participated in. Nice people. they made a series of runs, and were having fun, very comfortable with what they were doing. One run, she was on the back, the next, he was on the back. Not a K, but a RR1000.
