Kathy R Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Some of you met the boy at the UN and a few mentioned that he might do well with a haircut. I suspect he's down about a pound of hair now. BEFORE AFTER
KTM Doug Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Wow, you went POSTAL on the boy He looks good, now like a long haired lab. Good job. Did his personality change? Hope he wasn't embarrassed loosing his hair. I know I was.
Kathy R Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 Doug, Thanks. If the bangs over his eyes hadn't lost their curl I wouldn't have been as likely to trim his head so much. I loved the look of the beard, but what a pain to keep neat. He stood rock solid still as I cut, which was a good thing since I used hair cutting shears; extremely sharp and pointy. I must admit he does look more presentable, although he's lost that je ne sais quoi.
Mike Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Looking good, Nigel! Has his improved vision resulted in any changes in his behavior? Dogs don't rely a lot on sight, but I'd imagine he's got a different perspective on his world.

Dogs don't rely a lot on sight, but I'd imagine he's got a different perspective on his world. He isn't demonstrating any benefits, but I'm noticing a few. I can see his eyes all the time now, and they've got lot's to say. Now, after he drinks water, there is no lingering shower from his beard. When he walks past a bush he no longer becomes the bush. His hair is like velcro. On our trek around the neighborhood tonight I was taking second glances, simply because he no longer looks like Nigel, man of mystery He was cheerfully visiting all his human and dog friends. I thought I saw Desmond, a french bulldog, snickering.
Nice n Easy Rider Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I think he looks great! I suspect he'll feel a little more comfortable in the heat as well. Nice job Kathy.
Glenn Reed Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I thought I saw Desmond, a french bulldog, snickering. Seriously, a French Bulldog, much less one named Desmond, does not have any room to be snickering. Oh, and good job on giving Nigel a trim.
