Roadwolf Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 A couple of weeks ago, the company I worked for had a corn hole board tournament... never played before, but it was so much fun that I decided to add a set for the home... so I had a custom set made and when thinking about a design, well, it was a natural. Since I am a graphic designer, I just created this design and had a local guy who makes these create the set for me. Just picked it up today, but it is raining out now... the kids are gonna love these! [/img]
BFish Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 could bmw have any heartburn over trademark infringement or whatever it may be? PS...those are nice!
Redbrick Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Oh, I see...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornhole
Quinn Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I like this better: http://www.jeepfan.com/other/bolotoss.php bolo horseshoes. -----
Bud Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I still prefer my lawn darts. I always wondered how you lost one eye. I didn't know anyone still owned them. Must be 40 years old by now?
Couchrocket Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 There's only one thing wrong with what you've done. It is way to beautiful to actually use!
Caddis Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 .. it was so much fun that I decided to add a set for the home... My uncle had a homemade set that he would bring out at family reunions. It was a lot of fun. Your set looks great! I still prefer my lawn darts. I always wondered how you lost one eye. I didn't know anyone still owned them. Must be 40 years old by now? I still have a set of "Jarts" in the basement.
Bologna Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Great looking boards! We play that at the cabin, sometimes adult beverages are served!!
elkroeger Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Lawn darts have gotten a bad rap. Sure, they're dangerous, but as I understand it, it's not only illegal to sell them, but it's illegal to sell a used set, like at a garage sale. Seems excessive to me. I found a brand new set last year at a thrift shop for $4 (clearly they didn't know they shouldn't be selling them). I thought I'd put 'em on ebay, but no way. But I like 'em, so I'll keep 'em around for when I have kids. ;-)
tallman Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 No. We have ours too. No more dangerous that horseshoes at a picnic. We added air whistle so you hear the jart in flight. Gives you a heads up and a head start. Nice job on the design and build, it looks great.
