Kathy R Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I hope the photo quality isn't too distracting for ya'll. We loved seeing the country and all you Peeps. THANKS to Randy and all the folks who made this gathering so easy for us all. I'll be adding videos to this thread soon. HERE are the photos of our trip
Nice n Easy Rider Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Kathy, it's really a shame that Nigel didn't get any love and attention on your trip. And you need to post a warning on your pictures that viewing some of them between meals might cause severe hunger pains to set in. Thanks for sharing.
Paul Mihalka Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Thank you, Kathy! Looking at the pictures felt almost like being there. Almost.
eddd Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 ...And you need to post a warning on your pictures that viewing some of them between meals might cause severe hunger pains to set in. Thanks for sharing. You might also include a warning that some of those shots of certain guys in shorts can lead to a loss of appetite.
OoPEZoO Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Great stuff Kathy. Hope to see you (and Nigel) soon
EffBee Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Great story, Kathy. Unfortunately everyone was cheering for their favorite and no one got pictures of the AMA-sanctioned doggie oval event in the parking lot. I think Biff had the win in hand until Nigel cut the course, put a blockpass on Biff, and took away the rawhide bone just before the finish line. Given the rules violation, I call it a tie. We need a runoff. Wonderful to see you again and get several patented PB Hugs, to meet Nigel, to hear that you rode again and that it has helped you, and to know you made it home safely.
Kathy R Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 I really love all you folks They played like this almost continuously. Biff taught Nigel to use his mouth, but upon returning home Nigel has returned to playing gently with his older dog friends. I loved the way Biff only made Nigel cry once and then they knew the limit of how far they could go before someone got hurt. Biff's style is to get a mouth grip on the underside of Nigel's collar and yank him in a take down. Nigel's style is to stand taller than Biff and club him with a big swing of his foot to Biff's head. They were hilarious. The dog races........man was that cool or what. The two of them had to know they are entertaining us all, as they created an oval out of the parking lot. It cracked me up on the last day when someone said, "This was a great UN, but we have to have dog races from now on!" . Jacqueline and Richard brought cow ears and hoofs for Biff and Nigel's chewing pleasure. And Suzie made them homemade dog biscuits, which Nigel finally finished on the ride across Ohio, on the way home. YUM! Pat and Roger load Bill's Wee for the ride to Utah in Bob's truck The following are all of the folks gathering to go on Whip's Wednesday Ride. Again, sorry for my poor video taping.
SageRider Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Thanks for sharing, Kathy! I never knew a portion of my anatomy could fill the camera frame quite so well! Some great shots there. Had a blast at the UN and was so glad I was able to catch up on my PB hugs!!!!
dhanson Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Great pictures and video Kathy, had no idea you were videoing, pleasant surprise to find these shots. Thanks.

Kathy R Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 Nice. Trailer or sidecar next time? I have absolutely no desire to ride a hack. None. Zippo. Zilch. Nada. (not to say that someone else doesn't enjoy them, but they aren't for me) Anything smaller than The Mighty Buick and this trip wouldn't have been near as much fun for Nigel. My primary 4 wheeled vehicle is his set up and the 2 wheel will always be mine. If I keep the garage organized there is always going to be room for another 4 wheeled toy for me. If I get nutty I can leave the dog car in the driveway and fill that side of the garage with bikes Time will tell. Happy to have time.

I don't have any idea whether the mighty Buick would be a good candidate, or if you would need another four wheeler, but that way you and Nigel could ride to events in comfort, and then you could two wheel it once there. Pat would probably even volunteer to load and unload for you!

I almost had it all set up, but then the Wee was totaled and I had no need, at that time, for a trailer. Pat has set the standard
