Quinn Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 August 1st is Lammas, the midway point of the Summer season. What I never realized is that other midpoints are also celebrated, Groundhog's Day, May Day, and Halloween. Lammas is the celebration of the first wheat harvest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lammas -----
ratfink Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I rarely drink wheat beers but today I'll hoist a hefeweizen and engage in some wheatey conversation. My awareness has been raised by this grain of wisdom.
Paul Mihalka Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 "I'll hoist a hefeweizen" Couldn't think of a better celebration!
