Twinsig Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Going to replace o rings but scared I'll break the injector. What's the a trick?
David R Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I use a small pick. Its a pointed tool with an S bent in the end. You can also stab the oring to pull it up and get a small screwdriver or another small pick to get it off. Roll it off and roll the new one on. Make sure its not twisted when done. A LITTLE silicone grease or spray will help put them back in.
Twinsig Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 Thanks for the input david. I may just cut the old one and use a similar sized socket to install the new o ring and avoid the possibility of breaking the plastic tip/lip of injector.
AndyS Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Hi Twinsig. I would seriously avoid cutting the O rings. It is all too easy to cut and the damage the sealing face of the O ring groove. Just use something like a toothepick to stab the o ring material, and then hook it out (again with a soft object). Once the o ring is moving you may be able to squeeze the circumferance of the O ring and it may bulge upwards and you can pick it out from there. Andy
