I just returned from a three-week trip to Norway. I was onboard Hurtigruten's M/S Nordkapp for 12 days, sailing from Bergen to Kirkenes and back - all the way to the 71st parallel and to the Russian border. What an experience!

 

I spent one afternoon at a wilderness center on Kvaløya Island near of Tromsø where Alaskan Huskies are bred for the Iditarod competition.

I also got to spend a few hours searching for sea eagles. I spotted several, though they kept to themselves, way out of the range of my 18-200mm lens. I did get some great shots of the gulls that followed the boat.

When I finish sorting through them, I'll post some photos of the landscape and scenery. Norway is a beautiful place!
