Glenn, Keith, et al, what's Thursday look like? I head to Wind Gap, PA and would love to grab a cup of coffee or the like if it works.

Looks like Thursday......and potentially a hot one.

Shot ya a PM. I can be around just about anytime.

I'm currently in Johnson City, TN. My great day of twisities was deviated a fair bit as the roads had just been drenched prior to my arrival. There was no corner strafing else I would have been soil sampling. Went the quicker way unfortunately.

Tomorrow it is Sterling, VA. I'll be there a couple days. On Wednesday I have a service appointment for tires and oil st Romeny Cycles in W. Va at 9 AM if anyone is around.

What way are you heading thru VA? I live just north of Richmond and will be at work in Fredericksburg in the afternoon.. I'd be happy to buy you a coffee or lunch or something.

Bummer, maybe some other time. Those roads are no fun in the rain, more like work. Sounds like big-t has you covered for tomorrow, looks like a nice day too.

Aha. That answers the question that popped into my head after taking a peek at your Spot location earlier today, which was: Why did he go past Deals Gap?

Just got your message tonight. No cell service where I was in Albany. Jamie is emailing you. I'll call you tomorrow.

I'll check for a PM before leaving in the morning.

Paul, since I invited myself to the lunch with Les and Jamie, this only seems fair.

Corner Stable

9942 York Road

Cockeysville, MD 21030

As Phil said, the plan is to meet there for lunch at 12:30.

Look forward to seeing all of you!

Why not some crabs...? I mean you're in Balamor ya awl. There's Ocean Pride or Gibbys not far away. Perhaps Phil should get a dozen or so and put'em in his topcase for a snack down the road;just don't forget them...

If the timing was right for him to come through at dinner time, then I would have hosted the get together at my house, and crustaceans would have been served. This seemed a little bit easier to deal with at lunchtime.

Oh, if there are any other riders here who want to join us for lunch, chime in quickly so I can make sure we get a large enough table.

ooof, its gonna be a hot one. It was 74 when I left the house at 5:30 this morning. No liner in the jacket and all of the vents open by the time I got to work.

BTW.....Phil......if you see any white Jeeps parked in or around the construction zones near Baltimore. SLOW DOWN!!!! They will take a pretty picture of the back of your bike and mail you an expensive souvenir. :)

Met up with Phil, Paul, and Glenn for lunch in Cockeysville. Then I escorted Him (and Glenn) via back roads North East to where he would be crossing over the Susquehanna River near my house and heading on to Wind Gap.

He was all smiles and is really enjoying his journey. Thank you Glenn for rubbing the brain cells together to set it up. Thank you Paul for making the trip up, even if it was in a car........YES, PAUL OWNS A CAR!

Phil, best of luck on the rest of your trip. It was awesome to finally meet face to face after all these years. Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Yes it did happen, and there is a picture, but it will have to wait for Phil to post. That's if we didn't break the camera.

Good to see Paul and Keith again, and to meet Phil. He looks like he is still enjoying the trip, and we hope that stays true all the way back to the left coast.

Really enjoyed this unplanned (for me) meeting. Good to see Phil with a ear to ear smile enjoying the ride. Glenn and Keith, good to see you too, never enough occasions.

What a great time!!!!! Great place to eat, fantastic people, and boy that road was fun!!!!!!!!

I had so much fun on that road I only stopped once to get the border crossing sign. I could never find that string of roads again but allow me to say that if anyone gets the chance to have Glenn or Keith ride them through there, TAKE THEM UP ON IT!!!!! It's worth every bit of rubber you will lose off the edge of your tires!!!

I did realize that it took me a while to get back in to the rhythm properly and with a fully loaded bike but man it was fun trying to chase Keith down!!!

I'm off to do a couple days of camping at Woodward Caves, PA and then Shanksville and Sewickley on Monday.

I've reached my farthest Eastern point of the trip staying with a Marine Corps friend in Wind Gap. It's all West bound from here on out. Home is calling!!!!

Chalk up another day and another great adventure. Rode all day in the dirt in Pennsylvania. Approximately 150 miles of some of the most amazing scenery, terrain, and fun.

Off to Shanksville and Sewickley in the morning.. Getting closer to home!

Been a couple days since I checked in.....

Pennsylvania is in the rear view mirror, as is Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.

Spent a night in Pittsburgh with friends, a night in Indiana with our own Hannabone, and I'm currently having lunch in Mt. Vernon, Illinois at Cracker Barrel.

I'll finish off today with St. Louis, Missouri and the Arch.

Tomorrow I'm to Overland Park, KS for two days with family friends and then it's the final press home.

I'm at 20 states plus the District of Columbia with Missouri being state 21.

Home July 1

Done for the night in Fort Collins, CO. Just over 700 miles from Kansas City, KS.

I am now over 7000 miles and 27 states plus Wash., D.C. in on the trip. 2 more states and a little less than 1300 miles to go.

Tomorrow it's Torrey, UT to kick Killer for Whip and then home Sunday.

Assuming my eyes can read Spot on my smart phone, going to try to pick him up in Carson City. If it looks like we might overlap him, then somewhere along the lake where it'll be hard to miss him.

Followed him from Myers to Pollack Pines. Had to pull off due to acute new RT seat-itis and walk it off after too long of a day.

Sorry Phil and welcome home!

Did sweeper duty about 20 minutes later.

$4500 and still going! I have a deadline for my fund raising efforts related to this ride of October 31.

I still have a bunch of media things to do and letters, exposure, awareness, and door banging along with another event in Washington State at the end of August (Hoh National Rainforest Ride) to do.

Taking all this week off from this to enjoy my family and recover some from the days on the road but will be after it again next week along with a ride tale, etc.
