woodytwoshoes
Hi all, was just checking my bike over, had it on the centre stand and was turning the front tire. Was a bit hard to turn, wont freewheel, is this normal? 03 1150 rt. Is this just a result from the brake pads having contact wtih the rotor? Thanks, Woody Link to comment
AndyS
Push the pads back and see if it spins freely. If it does, it may be worth a service of the calipers to make sure the pistons are free to move freely. There is generally a light rub until the bike is moving. You could try a short ride and let the bike come to a stop without touching the front or rear brakes. Put it on the centrestand (do not touch the brakes). Does it rotate freely then? outpost22
What Andy said. If it turns out it is the wheel bearings, just be forewarned that on some of these bikes it can be an awful job to do yourself. Link to comment
