MotorcycleWriter
I was doing some maintenance on my RT and pulled the tupperware off to do the valves. They were fine, but I thought I'd do a TB synch while I had the plastic off. Anyway, reading my Clymer, it gives procedures for the R1100 but says you have to have a BMW shop do and R1150. I'm pretty sure I've read about some of you guys synching the TBs. And I have some procedures for the R1100. Are they the same? I've got a dual port CarbTune manometer that should do the job if I get a procedure that I feel good about. Can anyone direct me to a procedure on the web or elsewhere that a competent mechanic could handle? Thanks! Link to comment

Alfred02
Have a crack at it, it's not rocket science. You don't have to be a mechanical genius to do this. If you can use a screwdriver, spanners and even a torque wrench..."you are qualified". Just don't touch the throttle stop screws themselves as these are set at the factory. They are easily identified as they are marked with paint on the thread. Link to comment
