cengebardt Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 Recently bought and installed UClear intercom for my and my wifes helmets. I really like the boomless technology. Easy to install, bluetooth connect easily for intercom and cell phone functions and they work really well...except that they are not loud enough if one wears foam earplugs which I always do. With ear plugs in, I can bearly hear my wife with the volume all the way up, and that is in my living room. UCLear advertizes that volume automatically increases as ambient noise increases, so I am really hoping that when we are on the bike(1150RT) the volume will increase enough to be able to hear. But I have my doubts. Dont know if I could use earplugs with built in speakers. May not be possible since the mics are part of the speakers. Really ingenius technology, unfortunately there is a fatal flaw. Link to comment
