RT EnRoute
The Buckeye Beemers are looking for contest ideas for this year. We did the most Ohio historical markers and Ohio state parks the last two years for example. I tryed to Google "motorcycle contest" but that got nothing but a chance to win an H-D. Thanks. TEWKS
Visit as many Diners, Drive-ins and Dives in your state in a given time period. One point for each dollar spent & one point for each location. Gluttons Rule!! BTW welcome! Pat Link to comment
Dan5620
Covered bridges...will take you around the State and on many two lane roads and small towns. Just Google covered bridges in Ohio and you'll have a ready made list with direction for the gps. Take the cameras. Link to comment
Quinn
How about barn quilts? http://www.americanquiltbarns.com/the-ohio-trail You can probably find a POI file for your area. ---- Link to comment
bmwsit
How about dams? There is a ride out here in Oregon called the Dam Tour, 20 great places to ride. Ride to the dam, take a photo, submit and point is earned. Get all in Oregon, get a pin, get all in Washington, get a pin, get the four bonus dams outside of OR and Wa, get a trophy. Link to comment
enfoman
Geo-caching. There is an article on that subject in this month's BMW MOA ON and you could have some exclusive features with your finds! Link to comment
tallman
How about a contest for the most documented miles ridden outside of Ohio? Link to comment
na1g
County courthouses: 2 points for in-state, 1 point for others. Most numbered highways ridden: this could add up to a pretty large number so it could be limited to only state or county highways. I like the "diners" idea but would include only real diners, not "drive-ins and dives". Sounds like a fun riding season coming up! pete Link to comment
Sonor
How about the first one to take pictures of every county courthouse. I guess I should have first asked, what is your timeline for the contest? If it is a day, that suggestion is right out. Link to comment

bcoles
The most number of church steeples photographed in a given amount of time. You and your bike must be in the photo. Link to comment
Quinn
The most number of church steeples photographed in a given amount of time. You and your bike must be in the photo. If you did just Baptist Churches, around here you wouldn't have to start the bike--just walk it from place to place. Someone on here counts Dollar Stores on their rides. ---- Link to comment
elkroeger
A while back the Iron Butt did crime scenes. I'm kinda partial to the diners drive-ins and dives myself. Link to comment
cali_beemer
The local BMW group I belong to did a contest. Each rider is given a flag. The idea was to take a picture of your bike with the flag in front of different signs. You got points for different types of signs such as state signs, mountain passes, state parks.... Etc... The flag made sure it was current, and ech sign could only be used once. If I remember that's how it worked. Prizes were based on points. I think that's how it worked. I didn't participate but that's how I recall it. Link to comment
Jake
Contest of who draws the prettiest shape with their SPOT tracker. Link to comment
RT_Jim
County court houses? Ohio Bicentenial Barns? Link to comment
Medic Mike
Hmmm. Here's a few. Most colleges visited? Most Amish Bugggy damage? Or try a 4 corner contest: You must get pictired with city/town siagns. i.e. Bryan (for who in their right minds want to go to Toledo), Portmouth, Stuebenville, and Conneaut with a Random fifth spot. Lastly, you can go 10 miles for every Indians Win (please note sarcasm). Beign born and raised outside Akron, the only places I would ride would be the SE Region. Ohhh, BMW day at Cedar Point! pbharvey
A version of this. Find as many BBQ joints as you can. Link to comment
Yeeha! Stephen
County courthouses: Most numbered highways ridden: this could add up to a pretty large number so it could be limited to only state or county highways. pete Done in sequence with US highways as bonus points is very difficult for the top points earners. Especially if you designate that the "tens" must be US highways. Link to comment
yabadabapal
How about who ever goes to the most drive in theaters on their motorcycle, and in the most amount of different states. Geographical states, not a state of mind! Link to comment
