Not sure if it's even pretending to be an adventure bike. Could be wrong (it's ok i'm use to it) but, it will not sell unless it can get at least a little dirty.

Pat,

Bikes like this appeal to me. It gives you the comfortable riding postion of the GS without having to deal with the mudpuppy thing. I think it would be a great WV/NC back road twisty buster. :)

In Europe, ACEM reports that from January to August of 2011, sales of new motorcycles and scooters in the countries monitored by ACEM were down 8.86% over the same period in 2010, with 105,6906 registered units. Malaguti, the Italian scooter manufacturer, will close this year after 81 years of operation.

Among the five main EU markets studied by ACEM, Powered Two-Wheeler (PTW) sales in Italy are down 17.3%; Spain down 15,1% and The Netherlands down 13%. France is down 2.82%, while Germany is up 3.7%. UK is down 2.36%

Tough times for many in the mc bizness.

Now, as a former owner I am the first to say Aprilia makes very fine bikes to ride but that thing is a strong contender for the ugliest bike in a world of ugly bikes.

Aprilia's old obsession with flashy, late '80s 125 race replica paintjobs doesn't help the looks.

I tried to get on the original Caponord at the dealers and couldn't even lift if off the side stand. Way to top heavy for the likes of me. Didn't even bother to ask for a test ride.

Some bikes are best enjoyed in a picture.
