Posting Our Entire East Coast Tour

During the summer of 2011 my wife and I and another couple did an extensive tour starting in Florida and ending up in Niagara Falls, Canada. It covered 5500 miles and took us nearly a month. It includes a ton of National Monuments which gave it it's Red, White and Blue Tour name. It also includes every famous motorcycle road I could get in as well as Barber's in Alabama. It took me months to put together so I figured someone else might enjoy reviewing it. It's in Mapsource format and is posted here .

Hi Kathy,

You need mapsource from garmin to see the routes. The routes are for use with a garmin gps.

"Goofy" is one of the great parts about touring the USA. Glad to see you managed to hit Barber's in Birmingham. I haven't been there in a couple of years, and it looks like it's time for a re-visit.

It is really spectacular. Actually the entire ride was spectacular. My wife took the pictures and she ran the battery out a few days so we missed some. Another highlight was Kitty Hawk. We also spent a couple of days walking Washington D.C. That was probably the best.

They are gdb files. If you have a gdb file reader, you can see them. I tried a couple free ones, what didn't work. But maybe I didn't do it right.

Maybe you could draw some diagrams or sketches of the trip.

Thanks for the link. I haven't been to the east coast in a long time. Nice to see Arlington National Cemetery and Niagara Falls again.
