Tobias
I'm trying to find the BMW touch up paint kit in Titan Silver. Every place that lists it says that BMW doesn't stock it any longer. Has anybody found a reasonable substitute? Link to comment
Rich06FJR1300
try Colorite? they custom match it, google them i'm sure you'll see them Link to comment
TracyMurphy
I got one here for my '02. http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=107642 Unfortunately the color did not match as well as I would have liked. Maybe this can be attributed to fading of the original paint??? Looks like Colorite has ones for an '04 but they no longer list anything for an '02. http://www.colorrite.com/matrix-colors.cfm?CFID=1046567&CFTOKEN=80395429 Link to comment
Yeeha! Stephen
Looks like Colorite has ones for an '04 but they no longer list anything for an '02. http://www.colorrite.com/matrix-colors.cfm?CFID=1046567&CFTOKEN=80395429 If you'll get on the Color Rite site and click the automotive paint, you can find some of the discontinued motorcycle paints. You'll just need the paint code. Color Rite MC paint didn't have my '02 metallic red anymore, but the auto side did and it's a perfect match (in my case Siena Metallic Red or Sienna ROT 3) To find your paint code, look for the color code under the bike's seat (Mine is on the fuse box lid = color code 800 is paint code 362) then match the color code to a BMW paint code list such as this one... http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/paintcodes.htm I ordered touch up paint, canned paint and some clear coat to repaint a front fender... perfect match. I wish I was brave enough to paint one of the large body panels myself. Too scary for my skills, so I'm off to the local paint shop in the morning. Good luck boys Link to comment
Polo
$125 for a pint? Any half way reputable body shop will be able to match the color. Link to comment
