Requesting suggestions on BMW rentals in Denver and routes to Yellowstone

Just found out tonight that our friend from Germany, Wolfgang and a colleague of his, are flying into Denver on July 8th and departing on the 13th.

He has asked me for help on recommendations of where to rent two 800 or 1200 GS's for that time frame and suggestions on routes to and from Yellowstone. I'm sure that this is the place to get those answers!

Anne and I will already be in CO in advance of the UNrally and we might link up with them.

(We rode with Wolfgang and his wife to Captiva Island while they were visiting for the Christmas holidays.)

I highly recommend going north on 191 out of western Colorado past Flaming Gorge ... an iconic western vista that is breath taking ... this picture does not do it justice

That leads you up through Jackson and past the Tetons - into Yellowstone from the south. The downside is that western Wyoming is endless, windy, barren plains that go on for hours ... no avoiding it I guess.

This is a rather obvious route ... only 4 ways into the park. I do recommend Soda Butte Lodge ... we were there very early in the season, no traffic to speak of but the high passes were all closed. From Soda Butte, both Dead Indian and Beartooth passes are a short ride away.

Thanks very much ElevenFifty! The picture is great. We will study the suggested routes very carefully and thanks for the recommendation on the Soda Butte Lodge.
