Sorry Shawn, we just got home Saturday from a week on Mexico's Caribbean coast. My tan hasn't even started to fade.:wave:

Hopefully you remembered to wear a hat. I hear the head really peels badly when burned without a carpet to protect it. :) *he ducks*

It is freezing winter here now, I am nearly freezing as I sit here. However, I did not miss summer, I hit it dead bang on and enjoyed all that warm weather very much.

My next ride is to Mexico to take advantage of their warm weather.

In another month we may have totally missed winter around here.

It's largely skipped Chicago, too. There are still opportunities to get slammed by Mother Nature, but it's been pretty much San Diego weather around here.

In southwest CT, we had about 60-70" by the end of Jan 2011. I was on my low pitch roof for an entire day, getting at least 40-45" of that snow off. I was served breakfast, coffee, lunch and snacks on the roof. There was enough snow to jump off the low end of the roof and not hurt myself.

This year, besides the Snowtober aberration, we had just 6". I know winter is not over but it's currently raining (54 degrees) when it should be snowing. I was clearing some Snowtober debris and was sweating profusely.

All this volatility just confirms that climate change is here to stay.

I wouldn't make any big money bets on that one. I can just say, like you, we should have had more snow(about 3') by now and the total in my location has been about 8" total for the season. So we didn't get the normal snow dump. I don't miss it. At this rate we might not flood in the Spring.
