Bill Dennes
A while back, somebody described a way to mute the V1 detector by briefly connecting two of the wires in the power/signal cord together. I lost my pointer to this info and would like to have it back. What's embarrassing is the info was in a reply to me in the now-lost thread. I tried the suggested method on my OLD (pre-laser) V1 and it did not work for me. At the time I did not think to ask if the method was for newer V1's only. If anybody knows about that, I'd like to know too 'cause I'm going to upgrade my V1 this winter. TIA. Link to comment
Bill_Walker
Alternatively, you can buy the "concealed display" which is quite small and provides a mute/program button. Link to comment
Tool
Bill, I can't offer the tech help, but I seem to recall that >>>Arizona Al Schibi<<< had rigged a remote mute on his V1. Send him a PM... or maybe he'll see this thread and reply. Link to comment
