Ebola
Does anyone know what size the screws are that hold the throttle butterfly to the shaft are? I bought a rebuild kit and it came with some pan head screws and a nut to hold the other end. I would like to use the same type of screw as OEM. Thanks, Evan Link to comment
GregsARed
Hey Evan TB rebuild, recently rebuilt mine, what an improvement! My kit was OEM, direct from Bing Corp. I don't know what size those screws were but: Do the supplied screws thread into the shaft and then protrude out the back side? If so, just snug them up and file off the excess. Since a nut was included, I wonder if the shaft is even threaded Won't the original screws fit? Good Luck. Link to comment
Ebola
Mine was Dan Cata kit. The shafts were threaded and the screws had a pan head and a nut so they stuck out both ends of the shaft. I can't use the old screw because it would tear up the threads where it was stamped at the tip. I had my wife take the old screw to Granger and they gave me a bag of 100 for around $4 bucks. I still don't know what size that screw is, but if anyone needs some, drop me a line. I have a few extra. Link to comment
dan cata
It's an M4 at the end of the shaft and M3 at the plates. You could have written me an email or PM Dan. Link to comment
