Selden
My mother called yesterday to say that a new web-only soap opera, River Ridge, (ironic title, as the highest point in town is 12 feet above sea level) is being filmed in my home town, New Castle, Delaware. I finally got round to looking at episode 1, "The Commons", and found that I must have been in town when they filmed the opening credits, as there is a Boston Green RT parked in front of my mother's house. Good thing she doesn't have a computer, as there might be too much blue language in the dialog for her taste. Trust me, unless you're really into soaps, it's not worth watching after the opening credits — and even that only if you're interested in 19th century architecture. Link to comment
Quinn
Maybe you can get a job with them playing your evil twin. ----- Link to comment
ESokoloff
That's neat but don't sell yourself short at .15 seconds of fame...... it's more like 2 seconds Link to comment
Selden
That's neat but don't sell yourself short at .15 seconds of fame...... it's more like 2 seconds You wouldn't believe how many times I played that section over and over, stopping it until I got the bike just to the left of the SFN logo. The house, in case anybody is interested, is called the Terry House, named for the local banker who started building it in 1861, then had to put the project on hold until the Civil War was over, since bricks (and probably labor) were hard to come by. It's been run as a B&B with (depending on how you count) 6-7 guest rooms since about 1980, and my mother (at age 78) took it over in 1999. Link to comment
LBump
I feel they should have reimbursed you for a 'prop rental'... The best part is your bike has been documented and preserved in another shallow soap. Link to comment
Bill_Walker
I know just how you feel. My daughter is on the Google Street View image of her college campus. Link to comment
