motorman587
Has anyone thought of or has it been done a track day here?? http://www.jenningsgp.com/ Would love to lap or two on the RT and it would be better with a group. Link to comment
lawnchairboy
yes, with BMWNEF. fun little place, funky little turn 8 as I recall, off camber left hander... Link to comment
Huzband
Unfortunately BMWNEF is too stodgy to do sport touring schools at Jennings anymore. Too many lawyers & insurance agents in the club. Link to comment
motorman587
How does it work?? One just show up?? I am sure calling first would be very helpful. Read where just taping the lights and taking off the license plate would be all would I have to do. I would have to rent leathers though that is the only item I do not have. Link to comment
tallman
John, Check with them, I thought some other protective gear was OK too. Danny, It isn't the lawyers in the club, it's the lawyers not in the club who would pursue assets if there was a crash. Sad reflection of our world. Link to comment
randy
I am going to jennings GP on January 20, 21 & 22. Not 100% sure exactly which days. I plan on wearing my roadcrafter one piece. I have worn it at Tally and Barber with no problem. I think in novice they let you wear one piece roadcrafter, but intermediate and advance have leathers restrictions. Jennings is a great track. and if you can go Sat and Sun, they are running Sun backwards. So mostly left turns on Saturday, and right turns on Sunday. Also as we enter summer, Jennings GP does have day 99.00 events. you start riding at 8am or 9am and are done at 2pm no lunch. love those events. get out of the heat of the day and still get 5 sessions in. Also for those of us farther away, get to leave on sunday at 2pm. I usually plan on riding all 5 sessions on Saturday, and just first 4 on Sunday. Pack up during session 5 and leave right at 2pm. Back home and upacked by 10pm. Makes for a great weekend of riding. Link to comment
motorman587
See that is my problem, don't have a one pieces of anything. Just my old Joe Rocket and some BMW riding pants. I going to do it this year. Does sound like fun. How about the camping part? I have 31 foot driving motor home Class C. Link to comment
randy
as far as I know, two piece suites have to fully zip together. meaning a full around the waist zipper. If you have that set up you are good to go in novice shoot if you have room I will bunk with you :-) kidding aside, jennings gp has some hookup. not sure what all they have. I just use electricity, no grey or black water hook up. No cable no internet. I use my verizon air card when I go to track days. Some tracks have free wireless. Call jennings I am sure they are in today and see what all they are now offering and let us know :-) Link to comment

Bernie
There is a local bike shop in Jax, that is organizing a track day at Jennings on Feb 26 Tonupjax.com. No affiliation, just a happy customer. Link to comment

You might want to check with them. They have "leathers only" and "no flip-up helmet" rules. They're a little flexible so you might be OK. You can rent a set of leathers at the track if there's an issue. Link to comment
