I thought this was an interesting story about an old guy (85?) riding his bike around Australia.

You can watch in the little window, by clicking on the link at the right, or if you live in Vic, it's on ABC24 at 3:30AM Friday 23rd Dec.

My father sold his 1945 43 ci Harley Davidson when he was 84. It was a hard tail and my father's comment when asked why he was selling was, "damn thing hurts my tailbone." He then went out and bought an ATV that he rode around in the forest for three years before he died of SARS.

My hats off to that class of guy, just like the guy in your posts - thanks for sharing and helping me to remember my Dad.

Great story. Substitute an Englishman for that Aussie and that's my father in law. He's almost 80, fixed up a Ninja his father in law bought new when he was 80. Bitched about nobody "keeping the blasted thing up". Still rides Trials. I have big boots to fill. Thanks for the Post!

Quite the story! Quite the Man! Enjoyed the ride with him too, even though it was virtual.
