kltk165 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 My feet get pretty cold when riding in cooler temps. Any thoughts, or experience, on how these might work at cutting the windblast to the feet? I also don't see any reason why they wouldn't work on an RT. Splash Guards 1 Splash Guards 2
johnlt Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I find the RT foot protection pretty good and wouldn't really consider anything additional. On the GS, I've been quite cold and would consider something like you are asking about.
dirtrider Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Afternoon kltk165 Those things work OK on a GS or GSA but I doubt you will be able to fit them to an RT (lower plastic in the way)
moshe_levy Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 The fairing on an RT already completely blocks off your feet. These things wouldn't do anything any better than the fairing that's already there. -MKL
kltk165 Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 I was wondering about that. I was hoping they would be an addition to the fairing and give a little more coverage down there. Thanks folks!
John Bentall Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 If you suffer enough, you'll buy a pair of Gerbing (or similar) heated socks Mine are on order! John
lawnchairboy Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 true, but Gerbings socks, even on an RT, in the cold cold cold are VERY nice to have on! The socks surely saved me from big trouble on one trip out west.
