StroupDog
I am the proud new owner of a black 2000 R1100RT with 26K miles. The bike was a trade in at a Hardley dealer in Sparks NV, inported to Salem Oregon where I found it. Most of the maintenance was stamped as being completed by Sierra BMW in Sparks Nevada. Any info on the previous owner would be appreciated. I bought the BMW one day and sold the DL-650 the next day (Guy flew up from Reno and rode it home). I have owned several bikes including Hardleys, Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis..... Looking forward to getting many enjoyable miles out of this bike. Repair manual is in my posession and I have 30 years mechanic experience from jet engines (marine gas turbines) automotive, marine, cycles, building systems. Looking forward to being a sponge and soaking up the collective knowledge available on this and other BMW forums. Here she is... Link to comment

RodB
Congratulations, she is a beauty. Even if that bike didn't run, it would still be worth the price just to look at it. Link to comment
OlGeezer
I think you will find that the Boxer is easier to work on than jet engines. Link to comment

outpost22
I think you will find that the Boxer is easier to work on than jet engines. Yeah, but it's down on power. Nice bike though. Link to comment
Alfred02
That's a beauty. Looks like showroom condition. Remember... Take into garage, close door.make sure nobody else is around. Put on center-stand and if you haven't already dropped it...kick it over. Cry into your beer for a while and pick it up. You are now over the worse part and won't have to go through this in public. Fubar
The 1100 is a gorgeous bike. And you have the best color, too. Wilkommen. Link to comment
SuperG
It is a nice bike indeed, but it is missing a hole (or THE hole) in the middle of the final drive, how odd!. Mine came with a hole Link to comment
StroupDog
Thanks for all the remarks guys. Please tell me I don't have to start referring to you guys as "Chaps" or speaking broken German...As far as dropping it, I have two other bikes I drop all the time. Link to comment

Perlova
Nice Bike! Looks just like mine without all of the scratches and cracked plastic. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? Link to comment
notacop
sold the DL-650 I went the other way. Riding position is similar. My RT-P was just too heavy to pick up when it wanted wanted to rest on it's side. The RT-P was a perfect tourer though. Link to comment
Peter Parts
Nice machine. Correct color too. I don't know much about your model, but good for you to understand what mods and add-ons are present. Is that a custom saddle? Odd (to me) to see a three-spoke rear? You know that screw that looks like an idle stop? It is a throttle body factory calibration. Don't ever touch it, not even if some uninformed people urge you to do something called "zero=zero". If you or anybody has touched it, try to re-align back to the nail-polish markings. Work on the ergos till you have the bike right for you. Ben Link to comment
