chaparral
Need some recommendations re; Good fork guards for my 2006 GS 650. There is a lot of cheesy stuff that may work, kinda. I prefer to not re-invent the wheel... Link to comment
Railbender
I have the Touratech fork guards on my '01. You have to be careful about blocking airflow to the radiator with the gaiter type. The cooling system is marginal as it it. Link to comment
TEWKS
I had fork slider guards off an older speed triple on my 97 f650. Direct fit, looked slick. Pat Link to comment
doc47
I've used the neoprene sleeves on my GS in Africa and they've worked very nicely. After 2 years they're looking a bit ratty but for the price of one set of TT guards you can replace these for years. In fact, you can buy neoprene in many fabric shops and sew your own. They're just a tube that fits snugly around the fork tube. Link to comment
outpost22
I've used the neoprene sleeves on my GS in Africa and they've worked very nicely. +1 They wear fine. Mine are 5 years old and look very good. The fork sleeves don't block any airflow as they fit tight to the fork legs. These bikes go through fork seals when exposed to grunge, so the protection is a must. Here is a pick (sorry, no close-up image) of the sleeves on the GS Link to comment
