Greetings to everyone!

I am looking for a replacement of the front shock.I am looking for something reliable , servicable and not expensive.I have already changed the rear shock to a WP (plain with no piggy accessory) and i am satisfied.

I have seen that there are many to choose from , WP , WILBERS , HAGON , OHLINS . Has anyone tried one?

Cause it's tooooo pricey for that quality.

not from a breakers.

I have used both the BMW and WP and Ohlins, and I must say that so long as they are not worn out, the OEM was not discernably different from the others. I really believe there is a lot of hype about aftermarket shocks that is akin to the 'Emperor's New Clothes'.

OK i agree , as long as u clarify what "breakers" means!

What you would call a boneyard - a company that 'breaks-up' old bikes to sell as spares.

Why would you not match the front to the already replaced rear shock?

As far as pricing and models, point of sale whould provide that as comparing costs around the world

might not be accurate.

I had Ohlins on my 1100. I liked the front as delivered. The rear took some revalving to work for me.

I feel the same way. The front stock shock is excellent on my 04 RT but the rear is a little harsh. All in all, I have been quite impressed on just how well the RT handles in the twisties for such a big bike. Just wish the rear suspension would soak up the bumps as well as the front does. And yes I have the turned the preload adjuster knob all the way counter clockwise.
