mikecrml
I have a '04 1150RTP and have been looking to shave some pounds and get a little more sound. Looking at the Two Brothers cat eliminator system. Anyone have experiance with it? Pro's/ Con's? How does the bike run without the cat. converter? Are there better systems and set ups? I ride the bike hard. Thanks to all in advance. Link to comment
Starfighter
I put a Remus sans cat. on my LT and it sure seemed to breath better...... Link to comment
Jerry Duke
Two Bros. is cheap stuff. Either buy the cat elim new and have it JetHot coated or buy a good one that won't rust out. Ztechnik are usually less than Remix or Staintune. Make sure whatever you buy is quality stainless and the muffler has baffles that don't need repacking. Link to comment
druggrepp
Cheap stuff is relative to what you have to spend my friend. I have had two bros systems on 5 of my bikes and never had any problems at all.. Just make sure it has a place for o2 sensor. Breathing will be lots better. I bought a/m muffler but decided against using it after thinking of having to listen to it on cross country trips. taylor1
I installed a cat.elim Laser system and Laser power chip on mine a few years back and have never looked back. Not load at all.Shed @ 20 lbs. and the performance gain was like night and day. Link to comment
mythreesons
I've had a Staintune on my '96 RT for 10 years now. It was expensive but it still looks new and the sound is healthy. No problems what-so-ever going cat-less. I have an 02 installed but I have removed the CCP. I'd buy another Staintune if given a choice. Link to comment
bluesguitarboy
I have had a 2 Bros cat system for a few months now. Good quality. No power gains. The bike at idle has this beautiful low rumble. However after a few months with the system when riding for a long time, which we tend to do on these wonderful machines, it can be nerve wracking. I bought the sound suppressor for mine because with out it I started getting headaches. I am seriously considering selling mine. I would love an exhaust that sounds good but is quiet enough no to be bothersome. I might go back to stock but I hate the total lack of noise. Link to comment
bluesguitarboy
Okay the majority of you were right. I am tired of the noise and I will be going back to stock. The Two Brothers is fine at idle but the more I ride the more I want a quiet bike. I will be putting my exhaust for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested. Link to comment
