scout6
Susan and I are free from the MOA to the UN. We have family living at the house and keeping track of the dogs. Now, what to do? So many places to see and roads to ride....just which ones? As many of you commented about, we retired from the Army, and now have some time before my other job kicks back in. We figure to hang out in Crossville, Tennessee for a few days prior to the Un, but otherwise...Maritimes? Blue Ridge? Finger Lakes? Top of the Rockies Rally? Bourbon Trail? The 02RT's running well. Susan's F-658GS is set to tour. Link to comment
Albert
Given where you'll be for the MOA rally you might consider a swing up through some of New England. On the way back pickup Skyline/BRP to get to the UN. Lot's of choices towards the northeast and a great time of year too. Have fun regardless. Link to comment
ltljohn
Any of those are good choices. There is lots of good exploring to do in the KY and WV. You can ride at higher altitudes for the cooler temps. Take a look at the last BRR and RCR threads. Link to comment
Selden
Have you ever taken the north shore ride on Lake Superior? Link to comment
scout6
Just got home from doing that. Went up and around the north side on the way to the RA Rally, then headed back around the south side on the way back home. Great views! Link to comment
Lone_RT_rider
Have you ever taken the north shore ride on Lake Superior? I have, it's quite possibly one of the beautiful, and the most boring routes I have ever ridden. Link to comment

Just kidding... lol. It will be great to see you both at the UN. Shawn Link to comment
scout6
Susan IS riding her own bike. Lots of helmet and goggle trials to find something that allows her to deal with the Bell's Palsey and ride. She is the proud owner of a 2011 F658GS. Finished getting the bags, and comm gear on it so she is set. Has better cargo capacity than my RT with the regular bags. She is going to keep an eye out for the cow poo and the fresh grass clippings. Link to comment
Scout7
Shawn, you are just a smart ass! Don't worry. The crash bars were some of the first farkles installed...along with the Jesse bags. See you at the UN! Susan Link to comment
