JerryMather Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 Doing This ride this morning and I remember someone telling us about a few roads west of the lake in the Mt's that are fantastic but off the beaten path. If you know of these, please post details of them. These are close to the lake around the summit as your going west from the lake but are in a northern direction and going towards the Ponderosa. Redbrick Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 Hwy 155 is a good, twisty ride out of Wofford Heights, which is near the lake, over the mountains to Glennville....Kathy and I rode over and back on this one a while back.......Good bike road.....Greenhorn Mountains.. Link to comment

JerryMather Posted June 19, 2011 Author Share Posted June 19, 2011 No pictures and thankfully no performance awards received for our Krew, but I can't say that for that Big Black SUV that blew by us after we throttled back on 99. Radar detectors are such a wonderful thing, I love mine. It's beautiful up at the Kern River right now. Ton's of run off in the river and the rafting company's are only charging $25 per person to go down it! Rode all the way through Bodfish/ Caliente & up to the Ponderosa for lunch with BrianT & friends. Came back down along the river & took 155 to Granite Rd. on the way back. Link to comment
