Interesting Ad popped up in Utah.

I know this sub-forum is not for selling bikes, but this is too unusual not to post.

 

I spied this ad this morning--- new ad from original owner of 2003 R1150RT with about 600 miles on her. Photos look like this might be true.

Hey, Bob. I saw that ad last night and the first thing I thought was it was way over priced. Then I saw the miles on it. Still, I doubt he'll get that much for it even if it had never been ridden ( unless someone with money wants an almost new old bike ).

Now if you just had to have an 1150 RT for your "last bike" and you had the skills to R&R easily as needed then make an offer.

 

Lasat time I passed on a low miler I guessed wrong.

It still runs fine years later.

I would, though with some trepidition. A couple of months ago I took a similar gamble with a 2003 K1200RS with only 2825 miles on it. The bike had never even been wet. I have added about 1500 to that; so far so good. The bonus is that it still looks new in a way that only a bike with minimal use can.

Given that the post says Park City... and looking at the background of the pictures... my guess is a wealthy guy bought it on a a whim and never rode it.

 

Time flies, and he finally decided it was time to sell.

 

Agree on the over priced part too.

The ad says the 600 mile service is complete. -Do you suppose that was in 2003 or 2011?

 

I think the guy is dreaming on the price, but it certainly looks like it only has 600 miles on it. =)
