Behold the safe motorcycle. This bike speaks volumes for the relationship of the rider and passenger..even though no words were spoken. The bike was actually made unsafe due to the modifications.

Pretty poor photoshop with the added sparks. Rotation of the wheel would mean the sparks would shower forward and down..if there was such a thing as a ferrous metal tire.

Tire smoke from a rub would have been more believable.

1. Look at the incline. That bike HAS to be rolling downhill backwards with THAT thing on the back.

2. Probably wore down to the metal cords in no time.

No photoshop, just a normal day on a street in Vietnam.

Note the facemask on the rear passenger. Got to stay safe from those airborne germs! A trillion people on a moped, however, passes the safety threshold test...

Yeah, I know . . . but it's still funny!

Yeah, previously posted on these pages, but still noteworthy.

Owner parked his bike on the sidewalk next to a building on the waterfront, and walked away -- never looked up to notice overhang was lined with pigeons and seagulls...

Those aren't handlebars......Those have got to be some sort of fancy slingshot.

Reckon he passed his m/c license test on that?

He may be on his way to take the test - look at the sign in the background MS DOT District Office next exit. Not having been to MS, not sure if it's the same thing as a DMV office . . .

This one still gets a laugh out of me...a freeze frame of a video of Russell at the track at Buttonwillow. Things aren't going quite according to plan...

What you can't see is I've got an IR thermometer in my hand and I'm checking the temperature of the right side of the front tire to make sure it is up to temp.

I thought this was how you were supposed to ride into battle - so your mount shields you from the arrows/swords being sent in your direction.

But then shouldn't he have some sort of way of returning fire? I don't think an IR thermometer is going to have much effect on the enemy combatants.

There's a machine gun mounted on the right side of the bike, timed to fire between the spokes of the front wheel.

I've seen that photo 100 times but aI've only just noticed that there's apparently a master cylinder and reservoir for a front brake up there on that handlebar, though no way to actually use it, I would think. I always just assumed it was a foot clutch, suicide shift, no front brake chopper, but it's not.

You are assuming that the ape hanger photo is untouched by Photoshop. Some clever manipulation could be leading us to believe the bars are more radical than they seem.

Just from an engineering perspective, the bars don't seem thick or strong enough to prevent flexing and breaking away at the triple clamp.

You wouldn't believe how hot it got out there...... :( This one's un-retouched I believe.....

And, by the way, watch it when you take off with the boulder under your rear tire.....OUCHIE......... :dopeslap:

We assume the riders in that photo would be capable of leaving two skidmarks.

Great pics so far.

Several years ago someone here posted a pic of a guy on a motorcycle literally deploying a boat anchor on a chain - it was the old braking metaphor, come to life.

Who's got that pic? That deserves to be a part of this thread.
