Bridgestone BT-023's mid-way report.

Installed new front and back at 28K. Just rolled over 30.5K yesterday.

I was using Conti Road Attcks prior to this set. I loved the Conti's, so much that I went thru 3 sets and did not think of using anything else, yet they were lasting less and less, to the point of having to replace the front with a left-over BT021 somebody repleced just before going to get some Plexus...

I went to BT-023 merely out of curiosity and because they were the best buy at the time. I have rolled on Bridgestones before, and remembered they were OK and lasted about average for me.

What I liked most abouth the Conti's was how easy they fell into the turns and their grip.

What I have liked about the BT023's is that they require a bit more input to turn, yet they don'y fight back. They feel quite secure at whatever angle, but seem to transmit a lot less drama than the Conti's. (I hope somebody understands what I mean).

After 2.5K they are just about starting to show evidence of the rolling patch w/o getting squared yet. I have not had a significant chance to evaluate their wet performance, as we're having a very dry year in Central Texas, but I suspect they will perform very well too.

I will chime in here since I just replaced my BT-023 last night. I put on a new BT-023GT front and a non GT rear about 6 months ago. I got 7k miles out of the rear and it was worn quite well to the point it was near the cord at that mileage. The front tire still looks absolutely great. There is little signs of wear on the front tire. I agree with the OP on that the tire is very stable in a straight line but effortless to lean into a turn. Grip on dry pavement is excellent and one of the best tires I have used. The only times it doesnt feel as planted is on some aggragate type roads, and large cracks aplifies this. In the wet the tire showed its capability. Rain was pouring down on the freeway and I was doing 80 and the bike felt just as planted as dry. I was amazed. I have never had a tire feel as good on wet roads. Crossing painted lines it still slips a bit if your leaned in but not as much as some tires I have used. I considered replacing the tires with the Piliot Road 3 but I cant see a reason why. These tires are incredible and cost significantly less. For the price these will reamin on my RT for as long as I own it.
