Cheez Dad
Hi ALL! I find myself with my 1994 R1100RSL stripped down after a surprise workout pushing it a couple of miles between Richland and Kennewick, Washington. Following the good ol Haynes manual I have dutifully disassembled darn near the WHOLE BIKE! Lo and behold a pretty fried clutch. Fortunately I found a clutch assembly at the beemerboneyard and it should be here on May 31. My question is; what in heavens name is the BMW part number for the rear main seal. It looks like this baby is worn and allowed oil to seep into my dry clutch. Im not sure if this part is coming with the replacement clutch. Since the bike is apart, Id like to replace this part too. Searching the schematics on Bike Bandit and at A&S comes up with a blank. UNLESS its located in on a drawing that has nothing to do with the engine, transmission or clutch. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated. I did a superficial search of the FAQ but to be honest I didnt want to mine 1500 entries that pop up when you input Clutch or Rear Main Seal on this fine site. THANKS AGAIN TO YOU ALL! Tom Link to comment
