Dave Glen
2005 R1200RT - My ESA stopped working (pre-load only)a while back. I have just done a brake fluid flush and while the tupperware was off I checked to see if I could power the shock up and down directly via the battery. All worked well so I decided to fit a switch under the seat directly wired to the battery (fused etc). Before I started fitting the wiring and switch I tried powering the shock again and this time all I get is a clunk, reverse the wires and a clunk the other way but no up and down. The battery is fully charged, bike on the centre stand. ANY IDEAS Regards dave THE bastard Link to comment
dirtrider
Morning Dave No way to know for sure but a couple of guesses would be either a failed shock drive motor or failed internal mechanism, OR you over-drove the motor and it is jammed at full travel in one direction or the other. Link to comment
Dave Glen
Thanks D.R. I think you could be right about it being overdriven. Now to find a way to fix it and not repeat when adjusting. dave THE bastard Link to comment
