R1150Rt and R1100Rt windshield interchanging ?

Hi

 

I could buy a used Aeroflow windshield for my R1150RT that is coming from a R1100RT

 

I thought they were the same but in the Aeroflow web site, they list one model for the R1100Rt and another one for a R1150RT

 

Should I forget that ?

they are different but the same, but if I remember correctly the 1150 adds another fixing point, so a 1150 screen fits the 1100, but you need to drill the fixing point to fit a 1100 screen to the 1150,

I can tell you my experience. I bought a new Z-tech V stream which said it was for an 1150. It had the 3 holes as mentioned above. Fit fine on my 99 1100 RT,

I installed an OEM 1150 shield onto my 1100. The mounting holes are slightly different, so I had to drill new mounting holes in the shield. The trim pieces that mount on the front of the shield cover all of the holes, so you can't tell once its installed.

 

I'm assuming that Aeroflow has two separate shields.
