Planning my trip from Houston to St. Louis

I am planning to head to St. Louis from Houston the first week of June. It looks like there are some mighty interesting roads (esp. in Arkansas) between here and there, and that I could probably do pretty well just with some common sense and . I thought I would see if anyone out there in RT-land had specific stretches to recommend or things to see that are more-or-less on the way. Anything in far east Texas, the entire state of Arkansas, and the southern half of Missouri would be of interest to me. Many thanks!

The Pig Tail is a must! Highway 23 into Eureka Springs. Pick it up in Ozark and ride all the way to Eureka Springs.

 

Very cool! Take it easy. Some of those 10mph corners really are 10mph corners!

Hiway 7 from Hot Springs north to Harrison is a peach.

 

Hiway 23 is also a great cycling road. You can pick that up just north of Waldren on hiway 71.
