Captainnice
I'm having intermittent failures of the fuel gauge/temp/gear/clock display on my 04 1150RT. It fails about half the time when I turn on the ignition. Sometimes recycling the ignition will bring it back. Rarely it will return on its own while riding. I have not seen it fail under way if its working at engine start; only during starts. Vibration doesn't seem to affect the problem. This first occurred after a couple of months of no riding during the winter. Has anyone seen this problem or have any hints? It's driving me nuts. Thanks. Link to comment
dirtrider
Morning Captainnice A similar problem to your RID problem is related to low battery voltage at key on. Your problem seems to follow that to a degree so maybe put a volt meter across your battery and see what it does at first key on. If the battery voltage is OK then look for oxidation at either fuse (1) or fuse (3) in the fuse box under the seat or oxidation in a wire connector, or at the RID itself. Link to comment
