Duane n Oregon Posted April 9, 2011 Share Posted April 9, 2011 A friend and I are riding to Lolo Pass this summer. I would like some advice for camping for two of the stops. We just need a decent place to pitch our tent. One night is at the south end of Hell's Canyon in Northeast Oregon. Do you know of any spots there? The other spot is as close to Kooskia Idaho as possible. Any advice is appreciated. Link to comment
farmerp Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 I am not a camper but I stayed at Three Rivers Resort www.threeriversresort.com in Lowell, Id. I think they had camping spots available and they do have pool and hot tub. It is in a very beautiful spot right at the heart of Lolo Pass. I went to Elk City last year and it was a great 50 mile each way ride. I am sure there are many spots to pitch a tent in that area but I was not looking. Too much road and scenery…sensory overload!
